The Phlebotomist II role at ICONMA involves assisting in the performance of various assigned duties, troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations. This position requires a strong understanding of phlebotomy procedures and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
- Properly explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures to patients.
- Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
- Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
- Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
- Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
- Minimum of 2 years work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- High School Diploma or GED.
