The Peoria Unified School District is seeking a highly skilled Language Development Specialist to join its team. This individual will be responsible for assessing and addressing speech and language disorders in students, developing and implementing effective therapy programs to support their communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of students' speech and language skills, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy programs to address specific speech and language goals.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff members to ensure seamless integration of therapy into the students' daily activities.
- Provide ongoing support and training to school staff on topics related to speech improvement.
- Certification as a Speech Therapist/Pathologist from the Arizona Department of Education or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, county, and city statutes, rules, policies, and procedures.
