Job Summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking a skilled Test Technician to join our team in Chelmsford, MA. This is a 100% onsite contract opportunity that requires strong technical expertise and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Perform complex test, tune, and troubleshoot of mid-range to highly complex military RF microwave hybrid assemblies.
  • Test units over temperature, during vibration, and mechanical shock, and put units into burn-in ovens.
  • Use state-of-the-art test equipment to specifications outlined in specific module performance specifications and acceptance test procedures.
  • Collaborate with RF Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering to develop procedures and troubleshoot product to specifications.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in the test, tune, and troubleshoot of RF Microwave Hybrid assemblies.
  • Familiarity with RF equipment, including RF Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, and Oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to work under a microscope and utilize hand tools such as torque drivers and tweezers.
  • Good computer skills and ability to read and work from detailed process sheets and drawings.
  • Experience operating computer-driven mechanical vibration equipment and soldering components in accordance with J-STD-001.
  • Experience with data analysis of RF Microwave test data and writing test procedures and troubleshooting from schematics.
  • Familiarity working in an ESD and FOD controlled environment.
Education and Work Schedule

Accredited High School Diploma required. Full-time position with a 4/10 work schedule, 2nd shift from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM EST.
