About the Role

Dayton Freight Lines is seeking a skilled Tractor Technician to join our team. As a Tractor Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance services to ensure the quality and reliability of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with tractors and trailers.
  • Assist senior technicians with more complex repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Develop and implement efficient maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Work closely with the Parts Department to ensure that all necessary materials and supplies are available.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Record all work and labor on a computer in the EMS system.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to pass a drug screen
  • Fluent in English
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
