About the Role
Dayton Freight Lines is seeking a skilled Tractor Technician to join our team. As a Tractor Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance services to ensure the quality and reliability of our fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with tractors and trailers.
- Assist senior technicians with more complex repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Develop and implement efficient maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Work closely with the Parts Department to ensure that all necessary materials and supplies are available.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to OSHA and company safety standards.
- Record all work and labor on a computer in the EMS system.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Fluent in English
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years of age
