Advanced MRI Imaging Specialist

Magnet Medical is seeking a highly skilled Advanced MRI Imaging Specialist for a travel position in Pennsylvania.
About the Role:- We are looking for an experienced MRI technologist to join our team as a travel specialist.
- The ideal candidate will have excellent imaging skills and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Review patient medical history, doctor's orders, and previous imaging studies to ensure proper procedures.
- Explain MRI procedures to patients, addressing concerns and questions to reduce anxiety.
- Complete necessary documentation, including informed consent forms and patient information, before each procedure.
- Verify patient identity and screening criteria to ensure safety, checking for implanted devices, allergies, or pregnancy.
- Prepare the MRI room by ensuring equipment is ready for procedures.
- Operate the MRI machine, adjusting settings to obtain high-quality images as prescribed by physicians.
- Position patients on the table, ensuring comfort and alignment while following safety standards.
- Administer contrast agents as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patients for adverse reactions.
- Ensure patients remain still during scans to capture clear images.
- Monitor the MRI process, making adjustments as needed to achieve quality imaging.
- Ensure patient safety during MRI procedures, verifying no ferrous or metal objects are present.
- Keep patients informed during scans, providing reassurance and instructions as needed.
- Monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs, during scans to detect potential issues.
- Properly position patients to avoid injuries or discomfort.
- Assist patients off the table after procedures and ensure they are stable and comfortable.
- Provide post-procedure instructions, including follow-up treatments and care for injection sites.
- Ensure required post-scan imaging or additional scans are scheduled as necessary.
- Address any immediate concerns or side effects patients may experience.
- Regularly calibrate and maintain the MRI machine, performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary.
- Clean and disinfect the MRI suite and equipment between patients to adhere to infection control protocols.
- Monitor equipment performance, identify malfunctions, and alert staff for repairs or servicing.
- Experience working with MRI machines and related technology.
- Excellent imaging skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Estimated salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
This is a 13-week contract with 40 hours per week. Pay package includes a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
