Job Title: Cloud Network Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Network Architect to join our team at Coolsoft. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure for both on-premises and cloud environments, with a special focus on Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Architecture & Design: Design and maintain enterprise network systems, especially Azure-related services (e.g., Virtual Networks, Firewalls, ExpressRoute).
  • Cloud Integration: Work with cloud teams to integrate on-premise networks with Azure environments ensuring security and smooth connectivity.
  • Azure Networking: Manage and optimize Azure networking services like VNet peering, traffic management, load balancing, etc.
  • Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues in both cloud and on-premises environments to ensure uptime.
  • Network Security: Implement best practices for securing networks in hybrid cloud environments (Azure + on-premises).
  • Automation & Monitoring: Automate network configuration and monitoring using tools like Azure Network Watcher and PowerShell.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and enhance network performance in both cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Documentation: Keep thorough and updated documentation of network systems, configurations, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, encouraging improvement in operations.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years in network engineering, at least 2 years of hands-on experience in Azure networking services.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications: Azure Network Engineer Associate or similar certifications are highly preferred, Cisco certifications like CCNA/CCNP are also desirable.

Preferred Skills:

  • Hybrid Cloud Experience: Experience with integrating Azure with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or other cloud providers.
  • Kubernetes Networking: Understanding of Kubernetes networking and containerized environments.
  • SD-WAN Technologies: Experience with SD-WAN solutions.
