Position Overview

The Clinical Nurse Leader in our Cardiac Services department plays a vital role in patient care coordination and delivery. This position requires a current nursing license in the State of Ohio along with ACLS certification. The Clinical Nurse Leader is responsible for overseeing patient care during various cardiac procedures, ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support nursing staff within the Cardiac Services areas, ensuring effective care delivery.
  • Supervise daily operations of Noninvasive Cardiology Labs, providing guidance to staff in Stress and Echo Labs.
  • Facilitate communication among healthcare professionals, patients, and administrative staff to foster positive relationships.
  • Coordinate scheduling for Stress Lab, Echo, and EKG departments, optimizing efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to uphold standards of care and enhance patient throughput.
  • Monitor resource utilization and promote seamless patient care across departments.
  • Implement and revise clinical procedures to align with the mission and values of Mercy Health.
  • Oversee the orientation and training of new staff members.
  • Conduct performance improvement tracking and maintain accurate staff scheduling.
  • Perform various cardiac examinations and assist in specialized procedures as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient working environment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Engage in the evaluation of cardiac activities, ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Support the development of students and trainees, contributing to their learning experience.
  • Participate in research initiatives and data collection to enhance clinical practices.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Cardiac Telemetry Nursing.
  • Proficient in cardiovascular testing and equipment operation.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
