Job Summary

The Residential Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of our residential program, ensuring that all students receive the highest level of care and support. This includes supervising youth counselors, managing program activities, and collaborating with leadership to improve treatment and program outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and guide youth counselors to ensure high-quality care and support for students
  • Participate in our residential treatment model, working collaboratively with the team to achieve program goals
  • Supervise students, adhering to MPA policies, procedures, and individual treatment plans
  • Facilitate daily program routines, ensuring a safe and structured environment
  • Coordinate and manage recreational and educational programming for students
  • Document all services provided, adhering to program policies and procedures
  • Utilize training to provide behavioral management and crisis intervention
  • Engage in professional conduct, maintaining positive relationships with staff, students, and stakeholders
  • Attend professional trainings and workshops, applying knowledge to improve residential programming
  • Manage facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment
  • Arrange schedules for students, meeting structured requirements
  • Develop and maintain Crisis Plans (ICMPs) and Incentive Plans (SBIPs) for each student
  • Assist in managing the transportation fleet
  • Communicate student progress to the team
  • Adhere to all MPA policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Must complete all phases of pre-service training and ongoing training as required by state and MPA policy
  • Must be a leader, able to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Must possess independent problem-solving skills and be willing to seek assistance when needed
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team player, creative, and caring
  • Able to be organized, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated
Qualifications
  • An associate's or higher degree with a minimum of 12 credits in human services or a related field, or
  • The equivalent of 2 years of full-time experience working with children, or
  • Residential experience is highly preferred
