Position Overview

Provider Solutions & Development is in search of a dedicated Hematology & Oncology physician to become part of a distinguished team committed to delivering exceptional patient care. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including managing in-patient oncology and hematology consult services, as well as overseeing out-patient care sessions within the sub-specialty clinic. The physician will provide direct patient care and mentor trainees, ensuring a high standard of medical practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive care to patients within the hematology and oncology disciplines.
  • Support the healthcare network through direct patient interactions, consultations, and electronic communications.
  • Establish and uphold standards for delivering consistent, high-quality care to individuals with hematological and oncological conditions.
  • Educate and guide primary care physicians to enhance patient management.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Must hold a valid medical license in the State of Illinois or be eligible for licensure.
  • Board Certification in Hematology & Oncology or Board Eligibility in a pathway leading to certification is required.
  • Possession of a valid Illinois Controlled Substances License or the ability to obtain one prior to employment commencement.
  • Valid licensure with the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration or the ability to secure it before starting work.
  • Demonstrated expertise in providing compassionate and effective patient care, adhering to infection control policies, and exhibiting professional behavior.
  • Experience in instructing colleagues and trainees in both formal and informal settings is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse clinical environments and with a wide range of patients and healthcare professionals.
