Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the organization's Core Values and incorporate them into the performance of duties
  • Perform other miscellaneous related duties as required
  • Provide guidance to pharmacy students when required
  • Complete annual competency assessments
  • Document clinical interventions
  • Maintain a professional attitude when answering telephones, addressing patients, and providing drug information

Professional Development:

  • Participate in projects/activities to maintain professional competence, seminars, journals, and 15 hours of continuing education credit per year required by NYS
  • Participate in monthly inventory through Veriform assignment
  • Assist management with Waste, Fraud, and Abuse according to NYULMC policies and Federal Law
  • Provide direct oversight of pharmacy Technician maintaining NYULMC standards of quality
  • Provide vaccinations to patients according to NYULMC policies and NYS Pharmacy Laws
  • Maintain a current understanding and application of onsite pharmacy technology
  • Provide drug information and consultation to patients and healthcare providers according to NYULMC policies and NYS Pharmacy Laws
  • Maintain pharmacy records according to NYULMC policies and NYS Pharmacy Laws
  • Responsible for medication dispensation according to NYULMC policies and NYS Pharmacy Laws

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy and a New York State Pharmacy License. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are also required.

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years of experience in a busy retail pharmacy, provided immunization to greater than 200 patients, PGY 1 Ambulatory. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
