Position Overview

Role Summary:

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Oncology Clinic, focusing on Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) care.

Work Schedule:

80% FTE, day shift with no weekends or holidays. The schedule is Monday through Friday, operating between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, tailored to the department's operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide compassionate care alongside a team of dedicated nurses in the Oncology Clinics.
  • Establish and nurture therapeutic relationships with patients.
  • Administer care for patients undergoing chemotherapy, supportive care medications, blood transfusions, bone marrow transplants, and CAR-T cell therapy in an outpatient environment.
  • Utilize advanced assessment skills to evaluate patients during visits and through telephone triage and online portals.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 months of RN experience is required.
  • Relevant inpatient experience is preferred.
  • Ambulatory care experience is advantageous.
  • Oncology and chemotherapy experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Venous Access Devices (VADs) and IV skills is preferred.
Licensure & Certifications:
  • Current RN registration in the state of employment or in a compact state is required.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
  • Certification in a specialty area is preferred.
