We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Specialist to join our team at Marathon Petroleum Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our gas compression equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical expertise on turbomachinery and gas-fired turbines, including condition-based maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Support the evaluation of preventative maintenance work and ensure accurate records of all turbine/compressor analysis.
- Operate and maintain plant systems, including gas compression equipment, control systems, and auxiliary support systems.
- Ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective operation of G&P turbomachinery assets.
- Provide condition-based corrective action recommendations and work with location personnel to resolve operational problems.
- Assist in equipment failure analysis, development of standard practices, and procedures.
- Calibrate and maintain analytical equipment.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver's license.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with rotating machinery repair and/or machinery diagnostics, with a strong emphasis on Solar Turbines.
- Thorough understanding of the mechanical aspects of gas compression equipment and their support systems.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with engine/compressor condition monitoring systems.
- Experience with low/medium voltage electrical components and troubleshooting.
- Experience with PLC/DCS programming and troubleshooting.
