Job Summary:

A skilled Paramedic is sought to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. This is a contingent position that requires a professional care provider who shares responsibility and accountability for a group of patients. The ideal candidate will work in collaboration with other healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer drugs under ACLS protocols in code situations at the direction of the physician and under the supervision of a registered nurse. May also work on the Mobile One health unit, driving the vehicle as required. This mobile unit travels to different locations for events such as Annual Audiograms, Vaccines, and Annual Respiratory tests.

Requirements:

Completion of a Paramedic program. Minimum of at least one-year experience in the field as a paramedic, preferred. Maintains current ACLS and BCLS provider status. Licensure as a Paramedic in the State of Michigan.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

Requires prolonged use of hands, ability to reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, talk, hear, and smell. Must be able to regularly lift, carry, position, and/or move 50 pounds or more.
