About the Role

Fairbanks Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled Echocardiogram Technician to join our Cardiology team in Fairbanks, Alaska. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing echocardiogram procedures, interpreting images, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiogram procedures in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Interpret images and prepare reports for timely interpretation by physicians.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding procedures and treatment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure efficient operation of workflow.
  • Perform quality control measurements and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Requirements
  • National certification in echocardiography or vascular imaging from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting, preferably in echocardiography or vascular imaging.
  • Effective communication and human relations skills, with the ability to analyze data and solve problems.
