Candidates should also have experience in conducting in-depth data analysis on extensive datasets. A techno-functional background is preferred, with the ability to run and modify SQL scripts.
Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with finance stakeholders to comprehend reporting needs and challenges. Translate business requirements into functional specifications for Business Intelligence (BI) development.
Data Mapping and Modeling: Design and enhance data models (conceptual, logical, physical) using Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) to support intricate financial reporting requirements. Analyze database structures and relationships to ensure effective data linkage while identifying potential bottlenecks, redundancies, and optimization opportunities.
ETL Understanding: Work alongside ETL developers and Software Engineers to guarantee accurate and efficient data loading into BI platforms. Provide insights on data transformation requirements for reporting.
Data Analysis and Insights: Utilize advanced SQL skills to query, manipulate, and prepare complex financial datasets. Conduct quality checks, validate data, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration across teams to ensure alignment and understanding of financial data needs.
