eTeam Inc is currently seeking a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Med Surg for a travel nursing opportunity. This position is located in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Shift Details: Day shift, 5x8 hours (08:00 - 16:30)

Applicants must possess an active Washington state nursing license. Please specify the status of your license: Active, In Process, or No License. If your license is 'In Process', include the application date and estimated issue date. Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff in any Providence-affiliated facility must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for this travel contract.

We are open to candidates with experience as MSW Care Managers (holding either an Associate clinical license or LCISW) or RN Care Managers. Required qualifications include:

  • Master's degree in social work
  • Washington-issued post-MSW license (such as the licensed social work associate independent clinical)

Experience in case management and discharge planning is essential. While utilization management experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory. Local candidates may be considered at travel rates.

Skills and Experience

General Skills: Experience in acute hospital settings, working with patients with communication challenges, and familiarity with community service programs.

Case Management/Assessment Experience: Proficiency in admission criteria, initial evaluations, care plan development, discharge planning, and familiarity with InterQual and Milliman guidelines.

Care Coordination Experience: Ability to coordinate home care services, document information for care coordination, and participate in care conferences.

Documentation and Communication: Competence in documenting care delivery according to the plan of care and understanding coverage criteria.

Major Disease Processes: Knowledge of conditions such as dementia and stroke is required; familiarity with cancer, CHF, COPD, diabetes, and psychiatric disorders is preferred.

Regulatory Knowledge:

Understanding of CMS regulations, CPT coding, HIPAA compliance, and familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner is essential.
