Key Responsibilities- Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their respiratory needs and develop effective care plans to meet those needs.
- Ventilator Management: Operate and maintain ventilators to ensure optimal patient care and safety.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by physicians to patients with respiratory conditions.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care and communicate patient needs and status to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program with a minimum of an associate degree.
- Licensure and Certification: Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license issued by the state in which you practice, and active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 12 months, or active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential issued by the NBRC if credential received prior to January 1, 2019.
- Skills and Abilities: Effective organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; proficient computer skills, use of electronic medical record systems; excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills; and ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Competitive Salary: $46.60/hour
