Job Summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Certified Nursing Assistant to provide care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement. This opportunity allows CNAs to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.
  • Provide assistance with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment.
  • Complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, while creating a positive dining experience for residents.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred but not required.
  • Minimum age of 16 and prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
