Ecological Landscape Team Supervisor
The objective of this role is to effectively oversee a landscape team in the implementation of ecological designs crafted by both GreenWeaver and external designers, along with various landscaping services. Responsibilities encompass the use of hand tools, power machinery, and heavy equipment, addressing both hardscaping and softscaping tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Embody GreenWeaver's fundamental principles of Quality, People, and Environmental Stewardship in every aspect of work.
- Exemplify a positive demeanor and a robust work ethic to inspire the team.
- Engage with the supervisor and provide clear guidance to the team, seeking clarification on any ambiguous tasks or topics.
- Instruct new team members on safety protocols, proper landscaping techniques, and the correct operation and maintenance of all tools and equipment.
- Assess team performance, mentor, and take necessary disciplinary actions when performance issues arise for direct reports. Report performance concerns to the Supervisor.
- Review and comprehend job assignments, including the scope of work, estimated hours, and required equipment.
- Clarify job expectations to the team and ensure appropriate equipment is prepared for the task.
- Work collaboratively with the team and anticipate subsequent steps in landscaping projects to uphold a high level of efficiency.
- Communicate any production challenges, overruns, inquiries, or change orders to the Field Supervisor and proceed as instructed.
- Document materials and hours for projects and clarify any discrepancies from estimates.
- Maintain clear communication with clients regarding job status and other relevant project details.
- Determine project completion and ensure the team returns safely to the shop. Guarantee customer satisfaction through exceptional work quality and effective communication.
- Maintain a clean driving record and transport the team to job sites.
- Be prepared to work extended hours and in varying weather conditions, including some weekends.
- Keep all workspaces, including vehicles, the shop, and job sites, organized for safety, efficiency, and appearance.
- Complete incident reports for any accidents and promptly report any concerns regarding quality, safety, or other workplace violations to the supervisor.
Compensation: Based on experience, starting from $22.00 per hour. Benefits include accrued paid time off, holiday pay, group health insurance, and opportunities for professional growth.
