Position Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the oversight of the maintenance and reliability of our equipment, machinery, and facilities. This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless operation of our facility, which operates around the clock. The successful candidate will report directly to the Plant Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the maintenance team, delegating tasks and responsibilities effectively.
- Plan and assign projects as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
- Oversee the scheduling of preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
- Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability and minimize downtime.
- Conduct weekly meetings focused on continuous improvement with maintenance staff.
- Collaborate with external contractors as required.
- Administer the maintenance budget, optimizing resource allocation to meet financial objectives.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during maintenance activities.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance equipment reliability.
- Introduce best practices and innovative solutions to boost operational efficiency.
Expectations:
- Oversee the Preventative Maintenance Program for all machinery and auxiliary equipment.
- Direct the Predictive Maintenance Program to enhance operational reliability.
- Refine data tracking systems for downtime, preventive maintenance, and work orders.
- Utilize root cause analysis for troubleshooting with the maintenance team.
- Assess and address the training needs of direct reports.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules in collaboration with other departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a maintenance management role.
- In-depth knowledge of machinery, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in Plastic Injection Molding is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Basic understanding of Lean Principles.
