Job Overview

Nucor Rebar Fabrication is seeking a skilled Rebar Fabricator to join our team in Bourbonnais, IL. As a Rebar Fabricator, you will be responsible for bending, cutting, and loading reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate shearing machines to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths

• Use bending machines to bend reinforcing steel bars to specified shapes

• Unload trailers and store material in storage bins

• Operate overhead cranes to move, assemble, and select material to be fabricated or shipped

• Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to work overtime when required

• Ability to work any shift

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Working Conditions

• Working conditions can be noisy, dusty, hot, or cold

• Some heavy lifting may be necessary
