Dietetics and Nutrition Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Dietetics and Nutrition Consultant to join our team at Garnet Health Medical Center-Middletown.

In this role, you will utilize your expertise to develop and implement evidence-based nutrition care plans that promote optimal patient outcomes. Your contributions will be instrumental in enhancing the quality of patient care within our institution.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive nutrition care plans that incorporate the latest research and best practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Contribute to the advancement of nutrition care through ongoing education and research.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition/Food Service Management, Dietetics, or related field.
  • Masters' degree in Nutrition or related field preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in a hospital setting or nursing home preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) certification with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Successful completion of an ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship program/Registration eligible with verification statement.

Workplace Safety:

  • Works in a well-maintained facility with regular safety checks.
  • Regular interaction with various Medical Center staff and community members.
  • Exposure to possible hazards, such as chemicals and heavy equipment.
