Job Title: Research Compliance Manager

Swarthmore College is seeking a part-time Research Compliance Manager to support the Office of Research Integrity and Engagement (ORIE) in ensuring the integrity of research conducted at the institution. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and be able to provide guidance to researchers on compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and review submissions to compliance committees for completeness and provide feedback to the Director.
  • Facilitate administrative and review processes related to Student Summer Opportunities Awards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to research integrity.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of relevant regulations and policies and communicate with faculty, staff, and administrators to understand planned research and compliance requirements.
  • Establish open lines of communication with campus partners to assist in the administration of research proposals and awards.
  • Assist the Director of ORIE in the development and implementation of educational resources and programming.
  • Conduct special projects to support the office as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with at least one year of job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office apps and Google Work apps.
  • Ability to use and learn eRA tools such as Cayuse.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working on a college campus with diverse faculty, staff, and administrators to help them meet regulatory requirements related to their research.
  • Comfortable with Swarthmore's mission and core values as a liberal arts college dedicated to the common good.
