The Tennessee Board of Regents seeks a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Anatomy and Physiology courses at Southwest Tennessee Community College.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced instructor to coordinate, plan, prepare, present, and evaluate classroom instruction and related activities for our Anatomy and Physiology program.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction on topics of Human Anatomy & Physiology to students.
- Compile, administer, evaluate and grade students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, tests, and papers fairly and consistently.
- Develop curricula and instructional material such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
- Maintain accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA regulations.
- Attend all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by the President, Dean or Department Chair.
- Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
Requirements
- Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in biological sciences with at least nine graduate or undergraduate hours of coursework relevant to anatomy and physiology.
- Master's degree with a major in biology or in a related biological sub-field and certified according to Human Anatomy and Physiology Society standards.
- Professional degree in the medical sciences (M.S.N., M.D., D.O., D.C., D.V.M) and certified according to Human Anatomy and Physiology Society standards.
Estimated Salary: $42,000 - $62,000 per year
