We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in a fast-paced, challenging environment. This position offers the opportunity to work in a organization dedicated to achieving excellence in all aspects of care.
Schedule: 32 hours, days, 7a-3p every other weekend, part-time, benefit eligible
Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients across various age groups and impairments, including hearing, sight, substance abuse, non-English speaking, and potential victims of abuse. The nurse will incorporate knowledge of patient rights, mission, vision, and values into their practice at BMC.
Key responsibilities include health maintenance, teaching, counseling, collaborative planning, and restoration of optimal functioning and comfort or dignified death of those served. The Registered Nurse may delegate tasks to other nurses and/or healthcare personnel, maintaining full responsibility for patient outcomes.
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent assessment skills, clinical skills, organizational skills, and computer knowledge. They must be able to lift, transfer, and move patients safely. Verbal and written communication skills in English are essential, as well as the ability to complete mathematical computations required for treatment protocols.
Requirements:
A BSN degree or current enrollment in a BSN program is preferred. Current RN/MA licensure and BLS certification are required. One to two years of acute Med/Surg experience in a hospital setting is strongly preferred. Excellent assessment, clinical, and organizational skills, as well as charge capabilities, are necessary for success in this role.
