Position Overview: The Surgical Services Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the surgical environment is prepared and maintained to the highest standards. This position involves the careful management of surgical instruments and supplies, as well as the maintenance of a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and set up surgical case tables with all necessary equipment, sterile supplies, instruments, and medications/solutions.
- Actively participate in the development and management of preference cards through effective communication with surgeons and surgical team members.
- Ensure compliance with certification requirements, including CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) and Surgical Technologist certifications, upon hire.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry items greater than 5 lbs from a pallet to waist height.
- Capability to perform trunk rotation while standing and sitting.
- Visual acuity to perform essential job functions.
