Job Summary:

The Schwebel Baking Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee the production process in our bakery. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Coordinate Production Activities: Oversee the production process, ensuring that products are produced efficiently and to a high standard of quality.
  • Lead and Motivate Team Members: Coach, counsel, train, and develop employee skills to maximize productivity and minimize operating costs.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Ensure that employees work in a safe manner and uphold company safety policies.
  • Direct Production and Wrap Department: Direct the work of employees in the production and wrap department, ensuring that products are produced in accordance with Schwebel Baking Company quality specifications.
  • Ensure Food Safety and Quality: Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.
  • Administrative Tasks: To completely and legibly fill out required forms and paperwork, and conduct walk-throughs during shifts to verify product quality and safety.

Requirements:

  • Leadership and Management Experience: Must have prior supervisory experience and a solid foundation in food processing manufacturing (preferably baking).
  • Communication and Human Relations Skills: Strong communication, human relations, and safety awareness skills are essential.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of computers, including MS office applications.
  • Additional Requirements: Schwebels will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
