Lead Gymnastics Coach

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gymnastics Coach to join our team at Central Connecticut Coast YMCA. As a Lead Gymnastics Coach, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing the growth and development of aspiring gymnasts.

This is a dynamic opportunity for an accomplished coach with a passion for mentoring and developing gymnasts' skills. The successful candidate will lead our gymnastics team, guiding them towards excellence through expert coaching, effective communication, and a commitment to safety and inclusivity.

• Lead and develop a high-performing gymnastics team, fostering a culture of teamwork, sportsmanship, and achievement.
• Design and implement training programs tailored to individual gymnasts' needs, promoting skill progression and mastery.
• Collaborate with fellow coaches to create engaging and challenging routines, ensuring seamless execution and optimal performance.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to gymnasts, empowering them to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment that encourages participation, respect, and mutual support among team members.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress, goals, and performance.

• Minimum 2 years' experience coaching compulsory or optional level teams, with expertise in supervising and spotting gymnasts in competitive levels 3-10.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues, demonstrating empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic program requirements and Safe Sport guidelines.
• Prior experience in supervision of children in a gymnastics or equivalent program, with a proven track record of creating a positive and supportive environment.

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $55,000 to $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
