We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Corporate Manufacturing Tax Accountant Analyst to join our team at Krafted By KC.
Responsibilities- Conduct financial analysis, including reviewing and analyzing financial reports, accounts, and tax returns.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and tax returns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and tax filings.
- Utilize accounting software, such as Quicken, to manage financial data and prepare financial reports.
- Apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 3 years sales and use tax experience in Corporate Tax or Public Accounting.
- Experience in manufacturing environment.
- Experience with OneSource Tax Determination and Compliance.
- Experience with certificate management software.
- Responsible for timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns and reconciliations.
- Maintain exemption certificate software and tax determination application. Identify where exposures exist and resolve.
- Assist with governmental sales and use tax audits.
- Assist with and ensure month-end close deadlines are met.
- Review the initial determination of taxation on purchase invoices and identify areas of opportunity. Perform reverse audits where needed.
- Advise Sales & Use Tax Supervisor of areas of opportunity and strategies for minimizing tax exposures.
- Conduct technical research and documentation, as needed.
- Proficiency in SAP.
- Proficiency in CCH or other tax research tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to deal with shifting priorities and deadlines.
