Job Summary:

The Dining Room Server will be responsible for serving residents in a safe and efficient manner, while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve residents in the dining room at meal times, developing and maintaining a positive relationship with residents through regular interaction and support.
  • Assist the cook with dishes as needed, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen area.
  • Record refrigerator and freezer temperatures daily, maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the dining room and kitchenette area.
  • Practice appropriate safety, environmental, and infection control procedures at all times.
  • Assist with cleaning in the kitchen as needed, ensuring a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Become familiar with the community's Disaster Manual and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and the reporting system specified in the Right to Know policy.
  • Attend a minimum of 10 in-service training programs per 12-month period, staying up-to-date on the latest procedures and protocols.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chef or management team.
Requirements:
  • Affinity for seniors and a genuine care for their well-being, with the ability to maintain a positive attitude and conduct at all times.
  • Presentation of an open, positive, and professional image to all residents, visitors, co-workers, and the general public, displaying warmth and kindness in a friendly, courteous, and respectful manner at all times.
  • Display of honesty, integrity, dependability, and the ability to work as a team member, possessing good interpersonal skills and a positive attitude toward employment.
  • Reliable transportation to work, with flexibility to work on any day of the week, any designated shift.
  • Ability to identify personal strengths and weaknesses, and discuss with supervision.
  • Satisfactory references, background check, drug screen, pre-employment physical, and current TB Test (or chest x-ray) for tuberculosis.
