About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bridge Engineer to join our Transportation Group at Huitt-Zollars. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and managing bridge projects, working closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop bridge projects, including preparation of calculations, plans, and specifications
  • Manage project aspects, including scope of work development, fee development, and subconsultant management
  • Collaborate with clients, owners, and other highway disciplines to ensure project success
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Implement Huitt-Zollars' Quality Management Plans for project deliverables
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering (MSCE)
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
  • Ability to obtain license in other states
  • Proficient with TxDOT design practice and guidelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with relevant technology/software, such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, RISA, and STADD
  • Passionate about transportation and highway design projects
  • Ability to work/lead in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
