Job Summary

We are seeking experienced HVAC Service Technicians, Maintenance Technicians, Install Helpers, and Residential Lead Installers to join our team at PlumbingToday. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our customers, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction with our products and services.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair diverse HVAC system issues, including maintenance and service tasks.
  • Perform routine maintenance on residential heating and air conditioning systems.
  • Build client relationships by providing outstanding service through communication and customer service skills.
  • Educate clients on their maintenance requirements.
  • Complete all tasks in accordance with quality and safety standards.
  • Assist in the installation of all brands and types of HVAC units.
  • Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other areas.
  • Perform start-up of equipment.
  • Adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand or power tools.
  • Communicate efficiently with management, dispatch, and the customer to ensure overall success of the company.
  • Keep accurate invoices and time sheets.
  • Clean or lubricate vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized job site and inventoried truck.
  • Install/Replace HVAC equipment, including ductwork, attic and/or vertical splits, rooftop package units, and other related tasks.
  • Maintain good working order of company vehicle.
  • Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
  • Travel to job sites in the service area, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to the customer.
  • Design Duct Systems for Optimal Comfort and Efficiency.
  • Engage in conversation with the homeowner to uncover any concern or interests regarding their AC system, which could lead to potential accessory sales or a new system replacement.
  • Understand company pricing program and generate appropriate customer invoices and other paperwork at the job site and electronically process credit card payments.
  • Participate in company-provided training opportunities on customer service and the latest industry technologies.
  • Work with apprentices and entry-level installers to coach and mentor.
  • Provide quality air duct cleaning and related services to customers.
  • Productively and safely move furniture to prepare the home for cleaning.
  • Move and/or lift 50 lbs. (avg).
  • Remove all registers and returns, seal in preparation of the duct cleaning.
  • Clean and mark if needed, all registers and returns, then place back in the original position.
  • Vacuum and clean all registers.
  • Assist in the set-up/tear-down of equipment.
  • Assist in clean-up of work area, account for all tools and equipment.
  • Account for and return all cleaning tools, hoses, etc. to the truck before departure from the customers home.
Qualifications:
  • HVAC Experience (Preferred but not Required for all positions).
  • Good Attitude and Willingness to Learn.
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while on the jobsite.
  • Results driven in a high-energy environment.
  • Must be able to follow directions and work independently.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, wet climates depending on the weather.
  • Mechanical Aptitude.
