Job Summary

Thomaston Savings Bank is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Banking Associate to join our team. As a Banking Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide efficient and accurate client service, processing transactions, and resolving client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Supervise teller staff, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed, and that clients are handled in a businesslike and professional manner.
  3. Responsible for completing daily branch balancing, processing vault transactions, and maintaining accountability for vault reconcilement.
  4. Perform ATM balancing and replenishment, and balances coin machine. Coordinates cash shipment and delivery and orders the appropriate amount of cash for the branch in accordance with set cash limits.
  5. Monitors and reports all cash differences to Branch Manager.
  6. Opens and closes all types of new accounts and related products. Performs maintenance, assists clients with requests, complaints, troubleshoots and resolves internal and external inquires to client's satisfaction.
  7. Assists in coordinating staffing schedules in conjunction with branch management, responsible for in branch training of newly hired teller staff.
  8. Maintains current knowledge of the Bank's products and services. Identifies cross sale opportunities and make referrals in line with established procedures.
  9. Promotes the Bank's products and services and maintains active participation in various community events.
