We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Laboratory Generalist to join our team at UF Health-Central Florida. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing various laboratory procedures, managing laboratory processes, and ensuring the highest quality of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform analytical testing of blood and human biological specimens, requiring a moderate to high degree of theoretical and practical knowledge and expertise.
- Manage assigned aspects of laboratory processes, including workflow, quality control, and performance improvement activities.
- Train and mentor staff in the proper operation of the laboratory, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with laboratory leadership to maintain policy, procedures, and day-to-day operations of the department laboratories.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with physicians, nursing staff, and other hospital departments.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- State of Florida Laboratory Personnel (TN) license in all areas.
- State of Florida Supervisor (SU) license preferred.
- ASCP certification or equivalent preferred.
- 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
