Job Summary

TAAL Technologies Inc is seeking a skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for managing and executing small to mid-sized projects with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on complex projects, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Conduct structural modeling of framing systems using RISA-3D software.
  • Develop complete sets of construction documents, from inception to completion.
  • Provide detailed framing design and foundation/steel/concrete design expertise.
  • Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure project alignment and success.
  • Apply knowledge of relevant building codes in all aspects of structural design.
  • Calculate structural loads and recommend appropriate structural system types.
  • Prepare specifications and contribute to specification writing.
  • Perform site visits to projects as needed, ensuring that construction aligns with design specifications.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Revit is preferred.
  • Strong background in Building Structural Engineering is required.
  • Familiarity with structural modeling software, such as RISA-3D.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently, as needed.
