Luminis Health is seeking a highly skilled Wound Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical experience and preferably wound care experience. The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

The Wound Care Specialist will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients in our Wound Healing Center. This includes performing comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs and develop personalized care plans to address these needs.
  • Conduct wound assessments, including staging and measurement, and develop treatment plans to promote wound healing.
  • Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy under the supervision of a hyperbaric physician and educate patients on the benefits and risks of this therapy.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care and promote continuity of care.
  • Document all patient interactions and interventions in accordance with our electronic health record system.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and reduce costs.
Qualifications
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Maryland
  • Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical experience; wound care experience preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
