Position Summary:
The Packaging Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of packaging machinery through routine maintenance and troubleshooting. This role is essential in minimizing downtime and enhancing the longevity of equipment.

Compensation:
Pay Range: $21.70 - $38.00, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance on packaging equipment to ensure peak performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with machinery.
  • Implement preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Respond swiftly to equipment failures and devise effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address recurring machinery issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities.
  • Assist in the setup and commissioning of new packaging equipment.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and components.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulatory standards during maintenance tasks.
  • Provide training to production staff on equipment operation and maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of mechanical experience with packaging systems.
  • Two years of experience in basic electrical and electronics.
  • Experience in welding, cutting, and fabrication processes.
  • Ability to work independently in various environmental conditions.
  • Proficient in English with strong mathematical skills.
  • Demonstrated reliability in attendance and safety practices.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work from heights.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Possession of personal tools required for the job.
