Medical Director for Addiction Psychiatry in North Carolina

We are seeking a Medical Director for our Addiction Psychiatry team in North Carolina. This is a part-time position that will quickly become full-time, offering the opportunity to lead a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact in the field of addiction psychiatry.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have prior fellowship experience in Addictions or significant work experience in the field, with a strong understanding of credentialed requirements and Medicaid regulations in North Carolina. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing patient care, leading clinical teams, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical direction to clinical staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement treatment plans, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of addiction psychiatry best practices, staying current on the latest research and treatment modalities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care
- NC licensure and credentialing with NC tracks/Medicaid
- Prior fellowship experience in Addictions or significant work experience in the field
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct clinical staff
- A commitment to providing exceptional patient care and advancing the field of addiction psychiatry
This is a 100% tele-psychiatry position, offering flexibility and work-life balance. The estimated salary range for this role is $250,000 - $350,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
