Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Practice Specialist to join our team at Carilion Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs and develop plans to address them
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to nursing staff to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge
  • Develop and maintain relationships with nursing staff to promote a culture of excellence and continuous learning
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in nursing education and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required
  • BSN required, Master's prepared preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in related field required
  • Current RN license in the state of Virginia required
  • Must obtain and maintain appropriate certifications as defined by the department
