We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor of Nursing to join our faculty team at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. This is a tenure-track position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our nursing program.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing courses in a variety of settings, including classroom, simulation lab, and clinical settings.
- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the program's mission and goals.
- Conduct research and publish scholarly articles in reputable journals.
- Participate in service activities, including departmental and university-wide committees.
- Maintain clinical expertise and stay current with industry developments.
- PhD in Nursing or a related field, conferred by the time of hire.
- Active unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Colorado, or ability to obtain by date of hire.
- Two years of full-time, or equivalent, professional nursing clinical experience.
- Two years of full-time, or equivalent, academic experience in undergraduate or graduate nursing education.
- Established record of scholarship and research publications.
- Experience with curriculum development and evaluation.
- Previous experience with online teaching.
The employee is frequently required to sit and may be required to move. Tasks may involve using a computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range, and assisting with patient care while supervising students in clinical experiences.
