Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, resolving customer issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers and patients to provide assistance with products and services.
  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
  • Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers.
  • Assist in the practice of pharmacy under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Perform duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager.
  • Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Collect and handle cash as required.
  • Process manual claims for third-party program prescription services.
  • Lead pharmacy department inventory management activities.
  • Assist in analyzing and seeking to improve pharmacy financial, customer service, and inventory performance data.

Requirements:

  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
  • One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Basic math skills (counting, measuring, and weighing medications).
  • Basic level PC skills (e.g., start up and shut down computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents, and/or access information online).
  • Knowledge of store inventory control.
