We are seeking a Senior Research Scientist - Composites to join our team at The Aerospace Corporation. This role requires a PhD degree in a STEM field and a minimum of 8 years of applicable professional industry experience. You will be responsible for leading teams to design and execute experiments, developing and maintaining state-of-the-art skills, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Lead teams to design and execute experiments to investigate polymer structure-property relationships
- Analyze and interpret data from mechanical testing of continuous fiber composite materials
- Develop and maintain state-of-the-art skills in experimental design, data evaluation, and fabrication
- Collaborate with colleagues to foster innovation and drive research initiatives
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
- Competitive salary range: $140,000 - $170,000 per year
