Tax Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to join our team at Forvis Mazars, LLP. As a key member of our tax services team, you will be responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory services to individuals, partnerships, trusts, estates, and private foundations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain client relationships through the proposal process
- Participate in networking activities to expand business opportunities and client relationships
- Maintain functional expertise and understanding of client business or family structure to address client concerns and challenges
- Assist in managing, developing, and coaching professional tax staff
- Review and manage projects prepared by tax associates and seniors
- Effectively delegate responsibilities to others and monitor engagement team efforts
- Proficiently use technology tools in regular assignments and demonstrate a commitment to improving work processes
- Successfully research complex tax issues, apply findings to projects, and clearly communicate those findings in writing
- 9 years or more of related experience in public accounting, law firm, or trust department
- Bachelor or graduate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA license or J.D. degree and bar admission
- Experience managing multiple client engagements
We offer a competitive salary range of $147,000 to $260,500, depending on experience, education, and skill set. Our total compensation and benefits package includes salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
