The Production Operations Leader plays a pivotal role in overseeing the management and coordination of our production and logistics sectors within our state-of-the-art manufacturing and warehouse facility.

This position is crucial for ensuring the systematic and profitable operation of our production and logistics functions. By employing strategic methodologies, you will drive efficiency and effectiveness in our Texas facility.

In this hands-on role, you will foster a culture of positive employee relations while planning and coordinating all operational activities, including production, engineering, planning, continuous improvement, and quality assurance. Your leadership will be instrumental in implementing meaningful changes that enhance our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion a robust safety culture to ensure the well-being of all team members and maintain a productive work environment.
  • Establish and oversee daily operational processes to meet product quality and financial objectives while providing clear leadership and direction.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer-specific quality expectations across all operational processes.
  • Facilitate a smooth workflow throughout all manufacturing functions to achieve production targets and minimize unscheduled downtime.
  • Leverage customer feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing practices.
  • Develop measurable KPIs and provide regular performance feedback to the team regarding departmental objectives.
  • Build effective relationships and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve shared goals.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Regularly review the production schedule and collaborate with planners to enhance efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing processes and align capabilities with customer requirements.
  • Coordinate staff training and development by supporting employees in setting and achieving their professional goals.
  • Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and training of operations associates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment, or a combination of education and experience that equips you with the necessary skills.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and supply chain concepts, including S&OP, inventory, and physical flow management.
  • Proactive and strategic thinker with a proven track record in enhancing production operations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite, and ERP software.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes and their implementation.
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 20%.
