Job Title: Echo Tech

We are seeking a skilled Echo Tech to join our team at Methodist Health System. As an Echo Tech, you will play a critical role in providing diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic techniques.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of an Echo Tech is to perform routine, vascular, non-invasive procedures, and echocardiograms to include 2D, Color Doppler, Pulse Wave, and Stress. You will be responsible for preparing patients for examination, explaining procedures, and performing studies.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform complete studies, including M MODE, REAL TIME, COLOR FLOW MAPPING, and DOPPLER.
  • Prepare patients for examination and explain procedures.
  • Correlate clinical history with the test to be performed.
  • Participate in reading with physicians and contribute professional knowledge to final diagnostic impressions or reports.
  • Maintain order and cleanliness of all equipment and work areas.
  • Consult with referring physicians regarding patient history.
Requirements:
  • Registered or registry eligible as a Cardiac Sonographer.
  • Prefer two (2) years of allied health program or two (2) years of college with biological sciences.
  • Ability to demonstrate competency in cardiovascular echocardiography.
