Job Summary
Amedisys, a leading provider of home health, hospice, and high-acuity care, is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will work with patients in their homes to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders.
Responsibilities
- Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
- Work with patients to develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication skills and swallowing function.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify communication and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to address identified disorders.
Requirements
- Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology specific to the state you are assigned to work.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) with completed graduate coursework and a clinical practicum at a college or university whose program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
- Current CPR certification.
- One (1+) year of experience in speech pathology preferred.
