Job Summary:

As a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist at Luminis Health, you will play a vital role in performing ultrasound procedures to diagnose and treat vascular-related conditions. Your expertise will be essential in assisting radiologists and providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain pertinent clinical data prior to sonographic examinations
• Supervise patient scheduling and preparation, and record significant data
• Review pathology, surgical, and other reports to monitor patient progress
• Maintain a daily activities log and procedure manual, and compile data for monthly reports
• Ensure compliance with hospital safety policies and procedures, and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the work area
• Enter all pertinent patient information upon completion of procedures according to policy
• Appropriately prioritize patients in workflow
• Confer with the department supervisor to report problems related to equipment, staffing, and productivity
• Perform ultrasound exams as needed, and assist in the clinical instruction of students when required

Requirements:

• Successful completion of a formal program in ultrasound technology
• Certification by the Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS)
• RDMS in vascular ultrasound (RVT)
• American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification

Working Conditions:

• Reasonable expectation of exposure to blood-borne pathogens
• Heavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
