Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled AV Installation Specialist to join our team at WIRED Technologies Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the installation and service of advanced technology systems for high-end estate homes and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead teams in the performance of structured cabling, trim, and final component installation for custom integration projects that include AV, integrated controls, lighting, and shading, security, and networking.
  • Provide on-site coordination and communication with our builder and owner customers, scheduling and leading field resources under the supervision of the Project Manager (PM).
  • Identify change orders and track to completion with the PM, completing work orders such as installing equipment, connecting and moving devices, or creating components of autonomous networks.
  • Install systems, using appropriate hand tools and soldering irons, and ensure equipment is working properly, tuning or adjusting equipment and instruments to obtain optimum visual or auditory reception, according to specifications, manuals, and drawings.
  • Perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories as well as the operation and application of electronic equipment.
  • Basic setup of standard equipment, installing, starting up, and shutting down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
  • May be asked to log equipment configurations and test and maintenance reports through company software platform, or assist with Service Calls under the direction of a Service Manager.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of field experience as a lead tech, with experience leading a field crew.
  • Crestron/Crestron Home programming experience, Control4 programming experience, CEDIA, HTA, or Avixa qualifications a plus.
  • OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour card or ability to get one, valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
