Job Summary

At Owensboro Health, we are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Monitor and record patient condition, communicating with the healthcare team as necessary.
  • Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals to ensure well-coordinated care.
  • Carry out physician and nursing orders, ensuring accurate and timely implementation.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
  • Provide education to patients and families based on their learning needs and preferences.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire, with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within 5 years of employment.
  • RN licensure in the State of Kentucky required upon hire.
  • BLS certification within 45 days of employment.
  • NRP certification within 12 months of employment.
