Job Title: Police Officer

The City of Bridgeton is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, protecting the public, and preventing crime in our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patrols in the City to ensure public safety and prevent crime.
  • Respond to emergency calls and take appropriate action to mitigate injury and damage.
  • Investigate crimes, gather evidence, and interview witnesses and suspects.
  • Prepare reports and records in a professional manner and appear in court as required.
  • Assist citizens with various needs, including directions, crime prevention, and traffic safety.
  • Coordinate enforcement activities with other agencies and ensure timely and effective prosecution of cases.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates degree or 60 college credit hours from an accredited university or college, or three years' experience as a full-time commissioned Police Officer.
  • Ability to practice law enforcement duties in a first-class county and city.
  • Minimum 21 years of age at the time of employment.
  • Ability to obtain a valid driver's license without a record of suspension or revocation.
  • US citizenship required.
